Enjoy the ride of a lifetime in the Sierra Nevada mountains exploring the breathtaking scenery of the Alpujarras on horseback.  Rides start from the Cortijo los Nogales and are mainly through the Parque Natural with a mixture of pine forest trails and mountain tracks. 

 

Accompanied by Chris, a qualified British Horse Society instructor (BHSI), surefooted Spanish horses, 15 to 16 hands high, will take you along mountain passes and tracks in the high Alpujarras.  Most of the riding will be at walking pace, but there will be opportunities to trot and to canter.  Chris is also happy to give riding lessons to those wishing to learn. 

 

The horses are groomed and cared for to the highest standard and good tack is used.  During the height of Summer rides are started in the early morning, or in the evening. 

 

A full day trek, including a packed lunch, is £40.00  A half day morning trek of three hours is £25
